One of the main task/activity of Biyomedtek: Society for Biomedical Technologies is to establish a national network/technology platform in the field of Biomedical Technologies including all partners from academia, industry and related institutions, and to create mutual connections/collaborations with International Counterparts. In order to reach these goals we are organizing workshops and courses on different topics in biomedical technologies.  The first workshop “Satellite Workshop on Bone and Cartilage Tissue Engineering” was organized in Samsun on May 12, 2007 in conjunction with the “Stem Cells and Tissue Engineering in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” Symposium. This second workshop “International Workshop on Networking/paltforming in Biomedical Technologies” will focus on “Nanomedicine”.

This Workshop will bring scientists and experts from different disciplines to talk on different topics in this rather new but very popular and attractive interdisciplinary field, and more importantly to discuss possible pathways/steps for networking/platforming in this field that would certainly contribute our affords in this direction.

The Workshop will take place at MARITIM HOTEL GRAND AZUR, in Marmaris, Muğla on May 3-4, 2008, in connection/just before BIOMED 2008 and AFİNİTE 2008, which of course will allow the participants of these two important events to join to the activities of this workshop. This workshop will be organized by Biyomedtek, and supported mainly by TÜBİTAK-TissueBiomed project (Hacettepe University). This time, Muğla University will be our host. This Workshop will also be supported/endorsed by FP6-NeO: Expertissues project.

The program will consist of invited talks (by experts) and poster sessions (especially by young researchers/experts in this field).
